Wedding Officiant Request

Thank you for requesting Pastor Brandon to officiate your wedding ceremony! We want your wedding day to go as smoothly as possible, so here is some general information to bring clarity:

Please note that because of high demand, Pastor Brandon is only available to officiate weddings for couples in which one or both of the members attend Union City Church actively.

1. We strongly encourage bride and groom to receive pre-marriage counseling. Union City Church uses a pre-marriage resource that can be provided to you. If you are interested in this resource, please reach out to Maria MacEachen for more details.

2. Once it is confirmed that Pastor Brandon will be officiating your wedding, we will set up an in person or Zoom meeting with you to get better acquainted, hear about your vision for the ceremony, give a run through of the vows and pronouncement, and provide clarity on what to expect.

3. Please note that Pastor Brandon is not the wedding coordinator, but his role is to facilitate and lead the ceremony. We recommend having a day-of wedding coordinator or designating a member of the bridal party to help with the overall flow of the day.

Overall, the total cost of Pastor Brandon officiating a wedding is $350. This rate includes items such as childcare, travel expenses, time allotted for any in-person and/or Zoom meetings, and an honorarium.

If you have any additional questions, feel free to reach out to Maria MacEachen (maria@unioncitydc.church). We are looking forward to being a part of your special day!

1. Tell us about your relationship.
We’d love to know how you met, how your relationship has grown, and what you value most about each other. This will give us a glimpse into the unique dynamics of your partnership and how you support one another.
2. How is Christ playing a role in your relationship?
As a couple, how do you center Christ in your relationship? We’re interested in hearing about how faith shapes your daily lives, your decision-making, and your shared values. This could include how you pray together, any spiritual practices you hold dear, or how you’ve seen God move in your relationship.
3. What is your living status?
We also want to know about your current living situation. Are you living together currently, doing long distance, are you planning to live together after marriage? This helps us better understand the practical aspects of your life as a couple.
